Last Monday, Dalley and Naomi attended the School to Scrubs event at the University of Wyoming in partnership with LCCC. They explored 36 different healthcare-related stations, learning about a wide range of careers, connecting with professionals in the field, and discovering educational opportunities.
Both girls said they especially enjoyed the interactive, hands-on activities and appreciated the advice they received from healthcare workers currently in the profession. One student shared, “It made me so excited for my future and opened my eyes to how many options are out there.”

Then, 15 MS students headed to Casper for the Discovery Conference, joining over 300 students from across Wyoming for a fun and engaging introduction to leadership and FFA opportunities.
We’re so proud of our members’ enthusiasm and dedication — the future of agriculture is bright!

First grade knows the brain is the control center of the body. They learned that when different parts of the brain get damaged, it can have a serious impact on coordination, memories, or even cause death. Students designed helmets with their eggs being the brain; the goal was to find ways to keep the brain safe from concussions when playing a sport like football. "Brains" were dropped from 25cm, 50cm, 75 cm, 100cm and then from 200cm. All helmets but 3, passed the challenge!

There will be no elementary Boost on Thursday, October 16. Please make transportation changes through the office.
MS girls ended their volleyball season last weekend. The "A Team" did well, finishing 2nd in Basin and really pushed themselves the whole way. The "B/C Jamboree" won all their games in Shoshoni and our "B Team" was totally undefeated this season! "C Team" picked up the fundamentals quickly and all of our athletes worked hard each practice to get better and better! I'm excited to watch these girls continue to work together and to see what they'll accomplish!

This week in our STEAM class, students explored the concept of volume. The challenge was to design and construct a gift box capable of holding 10 small cubes. Students were limited to using only 6 index cards and 12 inches of tape to create a cube-shaped box with minimal extra space. Please take a moment to explore some of their designs and the reasoning behind their gift box creations, which are on display in the library.

This week, fifth-grade students participated in a challenge to design and build a tower that stands independently while spanning a stream. The tower must be at least 12 inches tall and can only use three pieces of paper and 12 inches of tape. Please stop by the library to see their creations and learn more about the project.

Lots of Constitution Day activities today! Our 3rd graders joined a nationwide mock trial to spark interest in Civics, serving as members of the jury, and eventually voting in with a "not guilty" verdict. The mock trial can be viewed in its entirety here: https://youtu.be/DDGgSCz5oGQ?si=YNafQ-F1S0QEb6kH&t=825 Then our entire school joined community members around the flagpole for our Constitution Day Program put on by Mrs. McKay's elementary students. They did a fantastic job!
