Burlington’s 5th grade science students are exploring hydroponics using the Gardyn system generously loaned by Ms. St. Clair. Through this hands-on project, each student had the opportunity to plant and care for one individual plant, learning how plants can grow without soil using only water and nutrients. The classroom has turned into a small indoor garden, where students are observing root growth, measuring plant height, and discovering how technology and science work together to create sustainable ways to grow food. This engaging experiment is helping students connect scientific concepts to real-world environmental solutions.

Ms. Jordan’s 3rd grade reading group recently finished reading Matilda and took their learning to a whole new level! After diving into the book together, the students worked to create their very own movie version of the story. This project was completely student-led from start to finish! They used AI to help generate a script, then made thoughtful edits and corrections to make it their own. They showed creativity, teamwork, and amazing leadership. It’s posted to our school Youtube site along with other student-created highlight videos, live streams, podcasts, and more, at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPn-7lwtvwY

Our BMS football team had a GREAT season!

Head Coach Tim Allen shared: What a year it has been for this group! They have done so well! We beat every 6 man opponent and even got to try 3 games of 9 man football where they were 2-1. Once they figured out how to play 9 man ball they were head and shoulders above their opponents and really learned how to play team football. There will be some state championships from this roster!!

Such a cool opportunity each year for our 6th graders to complete Hunter's Safety as part of our PE/Health classes with Mr. May and our SRO, Nate Kreider. The culminating event encouraged students to apply their learning in a hands-on field trip.

College and career exploration is a high priority and we plan opportunities for every junior to job shadow an area of interest. A huge THANKS to the Timmerman Gallery in Cody for supporting these efforts!

Last Monday, Dalley and Naomi attended the School to Scrubs event at the University of Wyoming in partnership with LCCC. They explored 36 different healthcare-related stations, learning about a wide range of careers, connecting with professionals in the field, and discovering educational opportunities.

Both girls said they especially enjoyed the interactive, hands-on activities and appreciated the advice they received from healthcare workers currently in the profession. One student shared, “It made me so excited for my future and opened my eyes to how many options are out there.”

Our FFA members hit the road for some great learning experiences this week! Eight students competed in Livestock Judging and 8 students in Horse Judging at the NILE in Billings. Our members represented our chapter with pride and gained valuable hands-on experience!

Then, 15 MS students headed to Casper for the Discovery Conference, joining over 300 students from across Wyoming for a fun and engaging introduction to leadership and FFA opportunities.

We’re so proud of our members’ enthusiasm and dedication — the future of agriculture is bright!
