We're glad to have students back! The excitement of school starting has been palpable although I hear it's mixed with a tinge of sadness for summer days and sleeping in. It's going to be a great school year!

Teachers are learning & growing with Mr. George over lunch today. He shared 200 years of Burlington history compacted into only an hour. I think we all could have listened for another hour. His knowledge & insight were really interesting.

Big Horn #1 honored our District Teacher of the Year-Mr. Kirk Hopkin and our District Staff Member of the Year-Mrs. Dory Cauffman (posthumously). Both of these individuals had a tremendous impact on students over many decades of service.

Our track has been resurfaced this summer and we were able to add another runway and jump pit. It looks sharp. Come check it out and please help upkeep our track surface by keeping pets and wheels off the track. Bikes, skateboards, and rollerblades degrade the surface quickly.
