Our K-8 Book Blast event was a lot of fun and every student took home a book!
Our Student Council held a K-12 assembly today to kick start Penny Wars! Starting Jan. 13, elem., MS, and HS levels will be competing against each other to raise the most "positive" funds for their group and possibly to "sabotage" the other groups by adding silver coins to their jars. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation. See the flyer for details.
We were selected to participate in this year's "Trout in the Classroom" program, organized by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department in collaboration with Trout Unlimited. Yesterday, Brandi Dearcorn's class received a delivery of rainbow trout eggs. Through this program, students will learn about local fisheries and the life cycles of aquatic life. This is an exciting learning experience for our K-12 students!
Shout out to our CSO who were once again able to entice Santa down from the North Pole for a visit!
THANKS to our School Board members for volunteering their time to deliver Christmas greetings and candy canes to staff and students as well as hams for staff!
The Veteran's Drive, led by our Student Councils, was able to donate 15 full care packages, plus extra supplies to veterans in our area. Thank you for all of your support!
The Winter Music Program was delightful, offering several opportunities for each student to shine. Mrs. McKay's rock band was a nice addition to the holiday groove.

Thanks to all who supported our Fall Sports Banquet last night! The Multimedia class created a 2 minute slideshow for each sport and coaches shared awards and highlights from the season. We wrapped up with refreshments prepared by the Foods class.

The District is hosting a great Career Fair for students in grades 3-5. There are 15 stations for students to rotate through. We appreciate the time and resources of the many businesses sharing today.
Ten Sleep and Rocky Mountain Elem. will be joining us for Elementary Career Day tomorrow. Ask a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader which career/s interested them!
Burlington FFA members helped Swinging Clover 4-H club members paint Christmas trees for the Community Christmas Event this week!
