New heating/cooling system going in today!


Burlington Schools have a couple of summer projects moving along. The library has a new glass wall. The elementary playground has a new concrete pad.



RMES is getting some heavy equipment placed today.

State Art is impressive. The talent displayed is amazing.





Senior project presentations are underway. Lots of hard work has gone into these projects. The presentations have been great so far.







Special Olympics are underway in Cody today. The Cheer Competition was great.


It is a beautiful day for the track meet in Burlington. Thirteen teams are competing.







Area FFA Chapters have gathered at our district office for a speech contest.


The District is hosting a great Career Fair for students in grades 3-5. There are 15 stations for students to rotate through. We appreciate the time and resources of the many businesses sharing today.

Dr. Doug Reeves, a UW Alumni, is presenting at the Wyoming School Board's Association annual conference. He is world renowned leader in education. Six of our Board of Trustee members are attending.


We salute our Veterans today. Their sacrifices live on in the form of freedoms which we enjoy.







It has been a day of costumes and Halloween fun across the district. Happy Halloween!











2008 GMC Yukon
The district is accepting bids on this 2008 GMC Yukon. The mileage as of October 30th is 198,820. It is mechanically sound and has newer tires. The paint is flaking off in places. You can see the vehicle at the school in Burlington. Bids should be dropped off or sent to the district office at PO Box 688, Cowley WY 82420. Bids must be received before November 13th. A minimum bid of $5,000 is required.

Burlington's Homecoming Parade was creative and enjoyable. The weather was perfect.










District Substitute Teachers are attending a training in the district office today. We appreciate the good work the substitutes provide.


Big Horn #1 honored our District Teacher of the Year-Mr. Kirk Hopkin and our District Staff Member of the Year-Mrs. Dory Cauffman (posthumously). Both of these individuals had a tremendous impact on students over many decades of service.





Board of Trustee Members met with school and district leaders to review data from the last school year. There was lots of reflection, discussion, and goal setting. Priorities for the new school year were determined. It was a productive day.




Last night at the School Board meeting, Retirees were honored. It is an impressive group of individuals who have given much over many years (166 combined years of service.) We thank them and wish them much happiness, adventure, and fulfillment in their retirement.
