Grizz Spotlight: Cooper Winland
Cooper averaged 10 points per game and 9.5 rebounds this past week in two big conference wins over Greybull and Shoshoni.
He’s selfless, loves the game, and always puts his teammates first.
And lucky for him — he’s got his mom’s soft touch around the basket.

My student of the week is Lyle Montanez; Lyle has come a long way since his freshman year; he is also a genuine pleasure to be around, and he works to stay up on his work and to do his best. I appreciate Lyle and want to give him the credit he deserves. Mr. Anderson

Paizlee Fisher has shown incredible growth in her reading skills this school year. She stays focused, gives her best effort, and is always striving to improve. Paizlee brings a positive, respectful, and enthusiastic attitude to class each day! I truly appreciate her optimism and strong work ethic. Keep up the amazing work, Paizlee—well deserved!

Spirit of the Grizz – Kaysie Cooley

Our Spirit of the Grizz this week is Kaysie Cooley. Kaysie averaged 12.3 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and 3.25 steals per game. She has stepped into the point guard role this season with confidence and authority, doing an excellent job leading our offense.

Kaysie is one of our most competitive players and brings a fierce, relentless mindset every time she steps on the floor. Kaysie truly loves the game of basketball and it shows.

Great job, Kaysie — keep up the great work!

Travis Crosby is the Spirit of the Grizz.

He never complains. He always answers with “Yes, sir.” His body language on the bench is exactly what every coach hopes to see — locked in, engaged, and ready. Travis is a great teammate and one of the most coachable kids I’ve ever had. Coach Winland

Students in Mr. Wilson's anatomy class have been studying the central nervous system. To get a good look at the "gross" anatomy of the mammalian brain students made mid-saggital cuts along the longitudinal fissure of sheep brains dividing them into the two separate hemispheres, exposing various structures which students then worked to identify. #learningtogether

The Rocky Mountain FFA is having our Aluminum Can Fundraiser this year. We are collecting Aluminum cans to help support the Wyoming Stock Growers association and our own chapter. So, if you are around the school and see some recycling bins in the hallway please drop off your soda cans in the hallway or ask Mr.West if you have more cans and he will collect those personally.

Alex is singing out his soul at All-State. What a great way to spend three days.

This weeks middle school student of the week is Trevin Green. Trevin works hard in the shop class and offers valuable insight on projects we are making. He demonstrates hard work and leadership by helping others when he is done with his projects. Trevin has a great attitude for school and is very respectful of his classmates and teachers. Lily Bauwens stands out as an exceptional student leader taking on many responsibilities as class president. She demonstrates her strong work ethic and dedication in this role as well as her academic studies. Even when she misses class, she takes the initiative to complete her work promptly or make prior arrangements to stay on track — a true example of accountability and commitment.
