Our school district is spread across several miles, with two vibrant campuses—one nestled in Burlington, WY, and the other gracing the charming town of Cowley, WY. Each campus brings its unique character and educational opportunities, fostering growth and learning for our students. Whether you’re exploring the scenic beauty near Burlington or soaking in the community spirit in Cowley, our district is committed to providing an enriching experience for all.
Both Cowley and Burlington, are situated a similar distance from Yellowstone National Park, roughly around 108 miles away when traveling to the East gate of Yellowstone. The Northeast gate, the Silver gate, is also a similar drive and offers the prismatic views of the Crandall area via the Chief Joseph byway, which also provides access to the Beartooth Highway.
With Cody located just 47 miles from Cowley and 33 miles from Burlington, you have easy access to some of the country's best western culture at your fingertips. Beyond its rodeo roots, Cody as charms visitors with unique boutiques, diverse eateries, and the legendary Cody Night Rodeo and Cody Stampede Parade.
Nestled right up against the Bighorn Mountains, our backyard boasts incredible adventures. Explore the Medicine Lodge petroglyph site and the Medicine Wheel, hit the slopes at Antelope Butte or Meadowlark, or cast a line in one of the many lakes and creeks. With so many trails to choose from, there's something for everyone.
Beyond its cowboy heritage, Montana's Billings boasts a vibrant modern scene. Explore the Yellowstone Art Museum's contemporary collection, then visit the animals that live on the worlds 45th parallel at the Billings Zoo. Though and hour and a half from Cowley, the distance from Burlington is greater but locally considered worth the drive.
