My name is Jameeliv Brost. I am the Reporter for the Rocky Mountain FFA Chapter. I am a Junior. I enjoy riding, fishing, adventures, and being in the mountains. I have been in FFA for 2 years and it has become a staple in my life. It has given me courage and great leadership skills. My name is Emmilee Wambeke. I am the Secretary of the Rocky Mountain FFA Chapter. I am a senior. I like to fish, hunt, go mudding, and explore. I've been in FFA for 2 years but I've shown 4-H for 9 years. I did cheer this year and have wrestled my entire high school career.
My name is Dalan Wambeke. I am the Treasurer in the Rocky Mountain FFA Chapter. I like to hunt, fish, and watch TV. This is my third year in FFA .
My name is Colten Bitton. I am the Second Vice president of the Rocky Mountain FFA Chapter. I am 17 years old, currently a senior in High School. I am active in both football and wrestling. Outside of school athletics, I enjoy riding, dirt bikes, hunting, and spending time in the mountains. I am also involved in 4-H and FFA, where I show and sell pigs at the Bighorn County fair. One of my favorite things about the FFA is the opportunity to meet new people and gain valuable insights about agriculture and life skills while also expanding my knowledge through diverse life experiences.
Evynn ran and trained very hard all year long. She finished the year strong, running one and a half minutes faster at state than last year. She really gave her best effort this year and worked hard to be a leader on the team.

William Watts is this week's Spirit of the Grizz. William has battled through some adversity this year but has maintained a positive attitude despite some setbacks with injury. William has dedicated himself to becoming a great kicker for the Grizz and has been very accurate this year on extra points converting 19 out of 22 attempts. Will has also been a big play threat for the Grizz on offense averaging 15 yards per touch in our games. Great job William!
Layla Gardner is my choice for Student of the Week. Layla consistently demonstrates a positive influence on everyone around her. She approaches challenges with courage, takes her education seriously, and shows dedication to making the most of every opportunity. Her fun, accepting nature, strong character, and commitment to supporting others make her a standout member of our school community. My name is Charlee Welling. I am a junior at Rocky Mountain High School and the Vice president of our FFA Chapter. I really enjoy FFA because it gives me the opportunity to be social and learn new things. I also enjoy hunting, the mountains, and sports. FFA is a very important part of my life and I hope to continue the agriculture lifestyle in the future. I hope to have an impact in our FFA chapter and community!
I chose Tristan Kerchner for the Student of the Week. Tristan has matured over the past couple of years and is becoming a great Sax player. My name is Sam Loyning, and I am proud to serve as the President of the Rocky Mountain FFA Chapter. I live on a ranch, where my family and I raise Angus cattle and bulls, and I take great pride in contributing to our operation. In addition to my involvement in FFA, I am an active student-athlete, participating in wrestling, football, and track at my school. Through both FFA and athletics, I've developed strong leadership skills, a commitment to teamwork, and a passion for agriculture and community service.
The 26th of September was the Homecoming parade and the FFA participated in it by decorating a trailer. Dalan Wambeke, Lyle Montanez, and Ella Pierce were the three members that rode the float. Mr. Winland, Mrs. Sammons, and Mr. Hudspeth were the three adults that rode with the students. It was a great float and was decorated in support of the FFA spirit.
Last month the Rocky Mountain FFA team traveled to Casper to participate in their fall Livestock evaluation contest. Just want to give a huge shout out to a stellar run at the contest we placed 6th high teams out of 13 teams. A few highlights are Sam Loyning placed highest in reasons while Dalan Wambeke placed highest in placings. Colton Bitton placed 39th overall and Jameeliv Brost placed 47th overall. All together it was a really good competition.
Last night the chapter had a Halloween party. They started off with a meeting to discuss our community service plans and how they did at the competitions. Once the meeting was finished, the party kicked off with pumpkin carving. We have the Loyning family to thank for donating the pumpkins for this party. They started to end the night with a game of charades then cleaning up the pumpkin mess. They had a great time and the party was a success!
