
The District is hosting a great Career Fair for students in grades 3-5. There are 15 stations for students to rotate through. We appreciate the time and resources of the many businesses sharing today.

District Substitute Teachers are attending a training in the district office today. We appreciate the good work the substitutes provide.


Big Horn #1 honored our District Teacher of the Year-Mr. Kirk Hopkin and our District Staff Member of the Year-Mrs. Dory Cauffman (posthumously). Both of these individuals had a tremendous impact on students over many decades of service.





Board of Trustee Members met with school and district leaders to review data from the last school year. There was lots of reflection, discussion, and goal setting. Priorities for the new school year were determined. It was a productive day.




Last night at the School Board meeting, Retirees were honored. It is an impressive group of individuals who have given much over many years (166 combined years of service.) We thank them and wish them much happiness, adventure, and fulfillment in their retirement.




College Shout Out Day at RMES. Lots of exposure to colleges and good fun.





Thank you RMHS FFA and advisor Mrs. Shorma for coming to RMES today. Our students love it when you come with your animals and fun activities!






We had RIF(reading is fundamental) day on Monday, February 5th. Each student got to choose a book to keep. Thank you to our coordinator Stacey Tippetts and the other parent volunteers for providing this for us.






RMHS students are hosting an elementary student career fair. Elementary students from RMES and BES are attending. Sally Bernhisel and Skye Mader have organized this learning event. The high school students are mostly members of FBLA. They are doing a great job presenting. The elementary students are enjoying the rotations.











RMES hosted the Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Lunch today. We had a great turnout. Thank you to everyone who could come!







Rocky Mountain Schools hosted a lovely Veteran's Day Assembly this morning.

The High/Middle school received information on a possible threat. Law enforcement investigated and determined that it was not an immediate threat to students. Law enforcement and the school take all threats very seriously. Rocky Mountain schools went into a shelter-in-place as a precaution this morning.

A fun Halloween Parade showed off lots of great costumes.











Join us for our Muffins and Math activity Tuesday, October 24th from 7:30AM-8:00AM. Kinder-5th grade students: bring an adult to help you unlock a muffin with your math skills! Muffins and juice will be served.


RMES Special Education Staff gave a great presentation for a new reading intervention program that they have been using this year. Orton-Gillingham is the new approach which incorporates much tactile interaction for young learners.





Two University of Wyoming Professors visited the district today. They met with Mr. Winland who is supervising a UW Student Teacher.



Our 5th Graders went on a field trip to Little Big Horn Battlefield.



No School on Monday, September 25. It is a teacher inservice day.

After School Club for Kinder-5th grades will be starting on Tuesday, Sept. 5th. Permission slips were sent home with students. Please update their dismissal on the days they will be attending.

Students will need to have lunch money on their account for the first day of school. Our online pay system is not working. You can bring cash or check to our open house Tuesday night from 4:00-6:00 or send with your student on the first day of school. Please call the school if you have any questions.
